We continue to build on our significant experience, knowledge of the law, and extensive network of contacts in all aspects of the practice of environmental law at the federal, state, and local levels. These efforts include
- Advising on environmental issues related to corporate and real estate transactions
- Conducting baseline environmental assessments and other reviews and inspections of real estate prior to sale
- Consulting on the development of acquisition or sales strategies in relation to environmental issues, including facility siting issues
- Working with financial institutions to ensure the adequacy of environmental reports related to the financing of property and assets
- Representing clients regarding remedial activities that occur on contaminated sites, including assistance with enforcement, licensing, and permitting issues
- Litigating cases that arise out of environmental claims, including insurance claims
- Assisting with permitting and regulatory work in areas such as air quality, water quality, solid waste, hazardous waste, and natural resources, including wetlands
- Defending civil and chemical enforcement actions with state and federal regulatory agencies
- Structuring and coordinating brownfield redevelopment activities to take advantage of financial incentives
- Helping draft or amend laws on behalf of legislative bodies and regulatory agencies
- Lobbying regarding environmental laws
- Representing clients in Alternative Dispute Resolution proceedings
