Background/Education

Born in Highland Park and raised in Dearborn, Michigan, Mr. Stieper earned his B.S. magna cum laude from Michigan State University in 1974 and his J.D. cum laude from Wayne State University Law School in 1977.

Expertise

With more than 30 years in Divorce, Custody, and Support litigation in Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb Counties, Mr. Stieper is well experienced. During that time, he also prepared hundreds of Estate Plans. Over the past 15 years, he has become actively involved in the administration of trust estates and probating of testate and intestate estates. Mr. Stieper is a former adjunct professor of law at Henry Ford Community College, where he taught Family Law, Estate Planning, and Probate Administration.

Mr. Stieper is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Oakland County Bar Association, the Wayne County Family Law Association, the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, and the Oakland County Bar Foundation.

Community Organizations

Mr. Stieper is Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Sagan Institute and is Director of the Dearborn Community Fund. Additionally, he has served as President and as a member of the Dearborn Community Crisis Center, on the Board of Governor of Dearborn Country Club, and as a Chair on the Administrative Board of First United Methodist Church of Dearborn.
