Mr. Sharp was born in Detroit, Michigan, August 25, 1952; admitted to bar, 1978, Michigan and U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan; 1984, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit; 1985, U.S. District Court Western District of Michigan; 2002, U.S. Supreme Court.
Education: University of Michigan (A.B., high distinction, 1974); Wayne State University (J.D., cum laude, 1978).

Mr. Sharp is a member of the State Bar of Michigan (Business Law, Probate and Elder Law Sections); former Chair of the Business Law Section of the Oakland County Bar Association (1995-1996). Adjunct Professor of Law, Wayne State University Law School and Walsh College.
